Roger L. Kesler, age 79, of Delta, surrounded by his family, passed away at his home Wednesday afternoon, August 13, 2014. The son of the late Clarence Kesler and Lola (Secor) Kesler, he was born in Delta on April 17, 1935. Roger graduated from Delta High School in 1953. Lela Mildred Sumner, 89, of Edon passed away early Tuesday morning at Evergreen Manor Nursing Home in Montpelier. A Williams County resident her entire life, Mildred was born on July 27, 1925 in Brady Township to Virgil L. and Veree (White) Ridgway. Mildred married Willard D. Sumner on October 16, 1944 and he preceded her in death in January of 1991. In 2001 Mildred retired from Potter Inc in Bryan, where she was a custodian for 18 years. Lana S. Hook, age 67, of Montpelier, passed away Tuesday evening, August 12, 2014, at the University of Toledo Medical Center, after a valiant seven-year battle with her health. Prior to her retirement she had worked at the former Ehrman’s Pet Store in Bryan and also at Powertrain in Bryan. Lana was born in Bryan on March 23, 1947, the daughter of E. Jerry L. Ely, age 76 of Pioneer passed away early Sunday morning at his home after a short illness. He was born November 7, 1937 in Hillsdale County, Michigan to Rush W. and Flossie (Keck) Ely. On June 2, 1979, he married Sharon M. (Greenwood) Prentice in Angola, Indiana and she survives. After 46 years, Jerry retired in 1999 as a backhoe operator for the Norfolk Southern Railroad. William Orcutt (1931 – 2014)

William “Bill” F.C. Orcutt, Pioneer, Ohio went to join his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, August 5th 2014 at age 83 while a patient at Evergreen Manor Nursing Home in Montpelier. Bill suffered a major stroke in 2003 and passed after a long and courageous battle with the after effects of the stroke.
