March 24th, 2015 (WAUSEON, OH) April is Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Month, and the Fulton County Job & Family Services- Children Services Division is encouraging all residents of Fulton County to “Pause for a Child” and take an active role in making our community a safe place for families and children. It also encourages all residents to Wear Blue on Wednesday, April 8th, to show their support for child abuse and neglect prevention.
“Child Abuse and Neglect can occur anywhere. It’s not bound by geography, culture, or socio-economic class. The children of today will become our future of tomorrow. Children are our community’s greatest asset and need protecting. Wear Blue is about the community coming together and standing up to Child Abuse. You and everyone are spreading the word –Child Abuse is Preventable.”
This year, Fulton County Job & Family Services, in conjunction with Adriel are hosting a free 5K Walk or Run for F.U.N (Families Uniting Now) for Child Abuse Prevention and Fraud Awareness.
