Blakeslee’s Father DeVeaux Council #3883 invites area boys and girls to participate in its local-level competition for the 2013 Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship on Sunday, January 20 in the Edon High School gymnasium. The Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship is sponsored annually with winners progressing through local, district and state competitions. International champions are announced by the K of C International Headquarters based on scores from the state-level competitions. Last year more than 120,000 hoopsters participated in over 3,600 local competitions.
The local-level Blakeslee Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship contest is open to all boys and girls ages 10-14, determined by the child’s age on January 1, 2013. (Youths may enter only one local-level competition.) Competing in their respective age and gender divisions, participants are allowed fifteen consecutive shot attempts. All will be recognized for their participation with each division winner advancing to next month’s District Competition.
For entry forms or additional information, feel free to contact Joe Radabaugh, event coordinator, at 419-272-1303.
