WAUSEON—The Wauseon Public Library is celebrating National Library Week, April 13-18, with a variety of programs and activities for all ages. This year’s American Library Association (ALA) theme is Unlimited Possibilities @ Your Library.
Kick off the week with Patron Appreciation Day on Monday, April 13. Stop by any time between noon and 5:00 p.m. for a special thank you cookie treat. “What would the library be without YOU, our readers! This is our way of thanking our patrons for supporting us and using our library services,” shared Director Amy Murphy. “So come on out and celebrate National Library Week with us!”
On Tuesday, enjoy the possibilities at the Wauseon Public Library. At 10:30 a.m., the library will host its free Spring Story Time with stories, songs, crafts, and activities. At 3:00 p.m., Murphy visits Fulton Manor for a Book Club Meeting. The day will wrap up with a library board meeting at 6:00 p.m. in the second floor board room.
Wednesday is April 15, so remember it’s Tax Day. File, and mail your tax returns or stop by the library, and file your taxes on-line on the library’s public computers.
Then get healthy on Thursday from 4-7:00 p.m. with the Fulton County Health Center’s (FCHC) Annual Cholesterol Screening. Get your cholesterol checked for just $5 in the library’s second floor meeting room. Walk-in’s are welcome! For more information, call the FCHC at 419-330-2722.
For continuing education, the library staff will participate in a staff training on Friday for National Library Week. Wish them all a great week!
Wrap up the week on Saturday, April 18 from 10:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m. with a Make & Take Spring Flower Bouquet Pen Craft Day. The craft day is free and is open to everyone, both the young and the young at heart. The library will provide all needed materials and supplies.
