Dowdy Leads Toledo To 4-2 Win Over Lehigh Valley

ALLENTOWN, Pa. (AP) — Kyle Dowdy hurled six scoreless innings, leading the Toledo Mud Hens over the Lehigh Valley IronPigs in a 4-2 win on Friday.

Kevin Chapman got Collin Cowgill to hit into a double play with a runner on first to end the game for his second save of the season.

Dowdy (2-1) allowed one hit while striking out five and walking three to get the win.

Toledo got on the board first in the third inning, scoring on a solo home run by Edwin Espinal.

Trailing 3-1, the IronPigs cut into the deficit in the eighth inning when Dean Anna hit an RBI double, bringing home Adron Chambers.

The Mud Hens tacked on another run in the ninth when Grayson Greiner hit an RBI single, driving in Jim Adduci.

Enyel De Los Santos (5-3) went seven innings, allowing three runs and seven hits while striking out six in the International League game.
