Edon Schools Announces March Students Of The Month

IMG_0558.JPGKarlin Munger and Jacob Dulle have been named March 2015 Students of the Month at Edon Northwest Local Schools. Nominated by teachers, the grades 7-12 student-recognition program honors recipients for their classroom accomplishments and behavior, peer relations, extracurricular involvement and overall good and respectful attitude.

In addition to having their picture displayed in the main school hallway, Karli and Jacob were awarded a special Student of the Month Certificate, pin and ten dollar gift card to Slattery’s Marathon.

Edon Northwest Local Schools is pleased to announce seventh-grader Jacob Dulle as Edon Junior High Student of the Month for March 2015. “Jacob has truly excelled in pre-algebra,” noted Ms. Shannon Higgins in her nomination of Jacob. “He is diligent in completing all assignments and achieves extremely high scores on daily homework, quizzes and tests. If he has any questions on difficult homework questions, he makes an effort to ask prior to class, often before school starts. Recently, Jacob demonstrated his ability to share his knowledge with another student during a partner activity. While helping this student, Jacob patiently broke down the material into smaller chunks and effectively explained each step to his partner. With Jacob’s help, his partner was better able to understand and practice a complicated new skill.” Jacob is the son of Doug and Kris Dulle.

Edon Northwest Local Schools is also pleased to announce senior Karlin Munger as Edon High School Student of the Month for March 2015. “Karli is an extremely kind and caring person,” shared Mrs. Cathy Frastaci. “She is a person of great character. She is always positive in difficult times and focuses on the good around her.” Karli is the daughter of Kathy and Troy Dwyer and Nathan and Bethany Munger.
