Fayette Library Announces Exciting October Events

VR LOGO - WEBThe Fayette Library is hosting a special program “Look Up to the Stars!” on Friday, October 17 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. In case of rain, the event will be held at the Fayette Opera House. Kevin Manning will be giving an educational and entertaining exploration of the universe, the stars and other celestial wonders, as well as a refreshingly large perspective gained by looking up to the stars. Following a power point presentation, you will have the opportunity to view the amazing rings of Saturn, craters of the moon and other jewels of the night sky through a powerful telescope –weather permitting. You will also be given the chance to talk with Kevin after the program to ask him any questions you may have.

You can also bring in your own telescope. Kevin founded “Look Up to the Stars” with a mission to generate interest and foster scientific literacy in the general public nationwide through the delivery of awe-inspiring, educational and entertaining programs. Kevin is an International award-winning astronomer and former consultant to NASA.
