Fayette Local Board Of Education Addresses A Light Agenda On February 9th

Members of the Fayette Local Board of Education convened in regular session to a light agenda on the evening of February 9.

Financial matters approved by the Board included the financial report for January. The Board also agreed to amend the amount of transfer for the Wind Turbine Account to $97,031.17. Donations accepted by the Board included $10.00 from Ruth Hutchison for Cheerleading, and $50.00 from an anonymous donor for the Class of 2016.

The Board gave their consent allowing the Fayette FFA to attend Camp Muskingum in Carrollton, Ohio on June 22-26, 2015. The Board also moved to allow tech students to attend and support the medical staff with technology, and provide educational sessions on technology for the Big Shots Residential Camp at Recreation Unlimited in Ashley, Ohio, from June 21-26, 2015, and the Little Shots Day Camp at Olander Park, Sylvania, Ohio, from July 13-17, 2015. The revised school calendar for 2015-2016 was also reviewed and approved.

In matters pertaining to staffing, the Board approved an extension of a FLMA leave for Gene Rupp through February 2, 2015, and agreed to pay a substitute employee for the cafeteria or secretary position at the State of Ohio current minimum wage.
