Fayette Local Board Of Education Convenes To A Light Agenda On October 13th

VR LOGO - WEBMembers of the Fayette Local Board of Education convened in regular session on the evening of October 13.

In financial matters, the Board moved to approve The financial report for September, and the five year forecast and supporting notes for fiscal years 2015 through 2019. The Board accepted a $100.00 donation from Hospital Council for student activities, as well as the receipt of funds from Energy Process Systems in the amount of $285,945.25 for costs incurred in the decommission of the wind turbine.

In matters pertaining to staffing, the Board approved an FMLA leave for Rebecca Short beginning October 22, 2014 through December 3, 2014. The Board also gave their approval to bring aboard Barbara Bruggeman as a substitute teacher on an as needed basis for fiscal year 2015, and Kandi Lemley as the Junior High Cheerleading Coach for fiscal year 2015. Prior to adjourning into executive session for the evening, the Board approved the Athletic Coaches’ Handbook for fiscal year 2015.

The Board remained in executive session, discussing OAPSE #21 negotiations for 29 minutes, then returned to open session whereupon they adjourned for the evening.
