FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The TinCaps set season highs for runs, hits, and margin of victory in a 15-0 pounding of the Lansing Lugnuts (Toronto Blue Jays) on Sunday afternoon at Parkview Field.

Lefty Aaron Leasher followed in relief with six innings of relief. He scattered four singles, three walks, and a hit batter. Leasher struck out six.

Lansing (39-24) starter Maximo Castillo, who MLB.com rates as the No. 24 Blue Jays prospect, allowed a run in the first, two in the third, and then got chased from the game in the fourth.
The TinCaps sent 10 batters to the plate in the fourth, as they put up six runs to take a commanding 9-0 lead. The ‘Caps added three more in the seventh and another three in the ninth.
Esteury Ruiz, the designated hitter, provided the exclamation point that made it 15 with a laser of a two-run homer to left field – his team-leading sixth long ball of the season.
