The Williams County Humane Society is actively seeking adoptive homes for the animals in their care. In light of the recent humane cases, the number of animals has increased. Recently, an anonymous donor paid for the costs of eleven cats. All cats’ fees have been reduced until the end of the month to $35. There are also several dogs with reduced fees of $100. This fee includes heartworm testing for dogs and feline tests in cats, flea treatments, worming, all shots up to the date of their adoption and the animal will be spayed or neutered. With an approved application, these animals will be able to find their forever homes.
Skeeter is a feline that is around five years old and she is looking for her new home. Skeeter is very sweet. She spends much of her time relaxing in her box, and is very calm.
One of the dogs available is Shelia. Shelia is approximately 5 years old. Her breed is not known, but she may be a Husky mix. Shelia has been at the shelter since February and is desperately in need of a forever home with a strong owner. She loves kids, but would not be suitable in a home with small animals or cats.
Like Shelia, there are many other wonderful pets available. The shelter is operated primarily through donations and the support of volunteers. Currently the shelter is asking for cleaning products and towels/blankets for the animals.
If you are interested in filling out an application for adopting or donating to the shelter stop out and see them. The shelter is located at 09464 County Road 13 Bryan. Their hours are Monday and Tuesday 9a-12p Wednesday through Friday 12p-5p and Saturday and Sunday 12p-4p.
