Janette M. Nofzinger, age 82, of Archbold, passed away Monday evening, August 10, 2015 at Fairlawn Haven Nursing Home in Archbold. Many years ago she had worked at the former Lugbill Restaurant in Archbold. She was also a bookkeeper for her husband, Jesse’s, Sohio Gas route, and a school crossing guard.
Janette was born in Henry County, on January 16, 1933, the daughter of William and Luetta (Nagel) Leininger. On January 30, 1952 she married Jesse Nofzinger, and he preceded her in death in 2010. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Burlington.
Surviving are her children, Randy (Nancy) Nofzinger, Cathy Henrie, Karen (Mark) Leu and Vicky (Paul) Beck, Sr. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother, Arthur Leininger.
Visitation for Janette will be held from 10:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M on Thursday, August 13, 2015 in the Chapel at Fairlawn Haven, where the funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 P.M., with grandson and Pastor, Tyson Nofzinger, officiating. Interment will follow the services in the Archbold Cemetery.
