Janna Lou (Maxwell-Blomerth) Hardy, age 71, of Bradenton, Florida, and formerly of Branford, Connecticut and Montpelier, Ohio, died Friday, August 16, 2013 at the Braden River Care Center in Bradenton, Florida. Prior to her retirement she had been an Elementary School Teacher in Branford, Connecticut for 22 years.
Janna was born in Defiance, Ohio on July 11, 1942, the daughter of E. Lewis and Margaret (Jodry) Maxwell. She was a member of the Union Chapel Church of God in Bryan, Ohio, the National Education Association and various other teaching organizations. She is survived by two sisters, Shawnee Maxwell of San Ramon, California and Tandi Lyn Maxwell of Palmetto, Florida.
Funeral services were private. Burial was in the French Cemetery, near Stryker. Grisier Funeral Home in Stryker has been entrusted with arrangements.
