August 28th-WAUSEON: In their first league game of the season, the Wauseon Lady Indians made a statement against the Bryan Golden Bears.
Scoring an astounding five goals in the game, the Lady Indians dominated the match. It wasn’t just an offensive assault that fueled the Wauseon victory, though, as Bryan was held scoreless as well. Team defense led to the shutout, leaving Keeper Ashleigh Allison only 4 saves to make.
The first goal was scored by Kennedy Lillich, thanks to an assist from Kendra Gorczyca. Lydia Schmucker also made a goal, with the help of Avery Giguere, who made an unassisted goal herself. Maddie Richer and Natalie Koenig scored unassisted goals as well.
Wauseon improves to 2-2 on the year.
