Mack A. Cargle, 83, of Bryan, passed away on Sunday June 2, 2013 at Genesis Care and Rehab Center in Bryan. He was born on November 29, 1929 in Cedartown, Georgia to Gertrude Cargle. Mack honorably served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War from 1948-1952. He married Lois “Lou” Jean Probst on October 14, 1954; she preceded him in death.
Mack was a member of the Defiance Church of Christ. He retired from Sauders as a supervisor in 1995 after 17 ½ years of service.
Mack is survived by two sons, Douglas (Chris) Cargle of Bryan and James (Amy) Cargle of Akron, Ohio; four daughters, Linda Stewart of Bryan, Yvonne (Harold) Vold of Stryker, Debra (John) Dusseau of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Terri (Barry) Roscoe of Nashville, Michigan; 16 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild; sister Linda Wojochieski of Toledo, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mack was preceded in death by his mother Gertrude and his wife Lou.
The family would like to extend thanks to the staff at Genesis Care and Rehab Center for the excellent care they provided to Mack during his time there.
In accordance with Mack’s wishes, no services are to be held. Arrangements have been entrusted to Thompson-Geesey Funeral Home in Montpelier.
