Montpelier Locomotives Edge Past Edon Bombers In Overtime Season Debut

MONTPELIER – First game? Overtime…why not?
The Montpelier Locomotives and Edon Blue Bombers tested their offseason conditioning for the November 29 season opener, as the back and forth affair ended in a 33-33 draw. Montpelier brought a better defense to the overtime party though, outgunning the Bombers 4-2 in the extra frame for a 37-35 win in The Railyard.
Blaine Thorp led the Locos with 18 points, with Alex Matzinger playing wingman with a dozen. Cody Caudill canned 3 points, and Jared Shoup and Parker Houk each added a deuce.
Individual stats from Edon arrived in a timely manner, but unfortunately were illegible.

Montpelier 6 9 9 9 – 4 – 37
Edon 10 4 12 7 – 2 – 35
