PIONEER – Bralyn Wyrick had herself quite the game against Fairview on December 17. She missed her first free throw in the first period…then missed another in the third. If the Lady Apaches thought that she was a candidate for the old ‘Hack-a-Shaq’ strategy, then their strategy blew up in their faces as Wyrick canned her remaining twelve free throws to lead the Lady Eagles to a decisive 60-45 win.
Wyrick was balanced in her scoring on the night, landing 85.71 percent from the line, and then adding another dozen points from the floor for a game-high 24. Shaylee Oyer splashed a pair of treys in the first on the way to an 18-point game, while Sabrina Pickford added 9. Tiana Wheeler had 6 points, Hannah Siekemeyer 2, and Abbey Litzenberg one.
