OSU Fulton County Extension’s Program “Dining with Diabetes” Is Being Offered In Collaboration With Fulton County Health Center

NEWSPAPER LOGODining with Diabetes is a 3 session program that provides detailed information about living healthfully with diabetes and is designed for people with diabetes and their family members or caregivers. The program will be held on Tuesdays, March 11, 18, & 25th from 6pm-8pm in the Beck Meeting Room (Ground Floor) of the Fulton County Health Center.

In a series of three classes, cooking demonstrations will help you learn healthy techniques to use in your own kitchen. The program includes sampling healthy foods and discussion with an educator and dietitian, plus a follow-up reunion class held at a later date.

Sign up for Dining with Diabetes and you’ll learn how to incorporate good, healthy cooking techniques and other practices to help you control your blood sugar.

At Dining with Diabetes, you will:

•Watch live cooking demonstrations.

•Sample delicious food prepared for you.

•Gain new insights on healthy eating.

•Learn new skills to manage your diabetes.

Anyone with concerns about diabetes or anyone interested in controlling blood sugar is encouraged to participate and to bring a family member, friend, caregiver, or other support person.

The cost is $25.00 for the 3 sessions. You may register by calling FCHC at 419-337-2721.
