Osuna, Stallings & Wood Lead Indianapolis In Win Over Mud Hens

TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) — Jose Osuna, Jacob Stallings and Eric Wood each had three hits, as the Indianapolis Indians beat the Toledo Mud Hens 10-7 on Monday.

Osuna homered, doubled and singled, scoring three runs while also driving in three. Stallings doubled and singled twice, driving home two runs.

Toledo cut the deficit to 5-4 in the third after Christin Stewart hit a two-run home run.

Indianapolis answered in the top of the next frame, scoring four runs to extend its lead. Wood hit a three-run home run en route to the five-run lead.

The Indians tacked on another run in the eighth when Osuna hit a solo home run.

Indianapolis starter Tyler Eppler (3-1) picked up the win despite allowing four runs and seven hits over six innings. Opposing starter Paul Voelker (0-2) took the loss in the International League game after allowing five runs and three hits over one inning. Dovydas Neverauskas pitched 1 1/3 scoreless innings for his second save of the season.

Stewart homered and singled, driving home three runs and scoring a couple for the Mud Hens. Dawel Lugo tripled, doubled and singled, scoring three runs.
