(September 15th, 2014)-WAUSEON: Two area titans of volleyball collided on September 15, and despite the fact that it was the Eighth Grade incarnations of Pettisville and Wauseon taking the floor on the Indians home court, the match did not disappoint.
From the very first serve, this match was a slug fest. Game 1 was a back and forth battle, with both sides struggling to gain the upper hand. It was Pettisville who drew first blood, taking the set 25-22. There was no let down in game 2 for either side. The Lady Indians were able to strike back, winning the set 25-23, forcing a third game. Ever relentless, both teams kept fighting. When the dust cleared, it was the girls of Wauseon who had managed to secure the match, taking game 3 25-21.
