PETTISVILLE – The Birdcage is not a good place for struggling teams to find their identity, and for the rebuilding Edon Bombers, the trip to Pettisville on December 13 was an uphill battle. The hometown Blackbirds added to the Bombers’ early season woes with a balanced offense that saw nine players in the scoring column in a 51-38 win.
Jacob Valdez, Korben Rychener and Dominic Frey each posted 8 points to lead the 3-2/2-0 Blackbirds, with David Reyes, Forest Stuckey and Austin Dykstra each getting 6 points. Kurt Siegel hit for 4 points, Jeremy Mann had a trey and Tanner Rufenacht a deuce.
Kaden Sapp led all scorers with 16 for the Boys in Bomber Blue. Mike Peeples had 8 points, Clay Parrish, River Wicker and Jacob Brown each had 4 points, and Reid Bowling had 2 points.
