MONTPELIER Police
On 4/3/2015 at 7:20 pm we arrested Jesse Daniel Black 204 N. Pleasant St. Montpelier age 30 on a warrant out of the Bryan Municipal Court for failure to appear for sentencing on an original charge of no operator’s license. He was taken to CCNO.
On 4/4/2015 at 12:18 am we cited Charles Timothy Knapp 419 ½ W. Main St. Montpelier age 29 for driving under suspension and peeling tires. He was released.
On 4/4/2015 at 7:00 pm we arrested an 11 year old Montpelier male on 6 counts of criminal damaging.
On 4/4/2015 at 7:00 pm we arrested a second 11 year old Montpelier male on 7 counts of criminal damaging.
On 4/5/2015 at 6:10 pm we arrested Damon J. Cook 4220 W US Angola, IN age 37 on a warrant out of the Bryan Municipal Court for passing bad checks. He was released to Bryan P.D.
On 4/5/2015 at 10:42 pm we arrested Angela S. Mason 507 Bryant St. Montpelier age 36 for child endangerment. She was taken to CCNO.

WILLIAMS County Sheriff
On April 9, 2015 at 2:52 AM the Williams County Sheriff’s Office received a suspicious person complaint at 13454 SR-15, Hutch’s Kerrie Out.
Deputies tried to ask Alberto Hurtado, age 46, from Battle Creek, Michigan to leave the property several times, but he refused. Mr. Hurtado made threats to cause serious physical harm to one deputy before lunging at him. The deputy deployed his taser, but it had no effect on Mr. Hurtado. The other deputy then deployed his taser, but it still had no effect.
Mr. Hurtado charged the second deputy and began to physically fight the deputies after being ordered to stop and go to the ground. Mr. Hurtado was taken into custody and checked bmy medics.
Both deputies received minor injuries and were treated by medics. One of the deputies was also treated by the Bryan Community Hospital ER staff.
Mr. Hurtado was transported and held at the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio. He is being charged with trespassing, a forth degree misdemeanor; resisting arrest, a first degree misdemeanor; and felonious assault, a forth degree felony.

WILLIAMS County SHERIFF
On April 5, 2015, at 2:08 PM, Colt E. Fackler, of Pioneer, Ohio called to report that sometime within the last four days, someone attempted to gain entry into the residence. The damage was estimated at $50 and the complaint remains under investigation.
On April 6, 2015, at 9:48 PM, Patricia M. Sleesman, age 56, of Edgerton Ohio, was operating a 2005 Mercury traveling west on CR-C east of SR-576 when she was struck by a deer that entered the roadway.
On April 8, 2015, at 2:51 PM, Rebecca L. Miller, of Stryker, Ohio, called to report that sometime between 9:30 AM and 12:00 PM, someone damaged her mailbox. The total loss was undetermined and the complaint remains under investigation.
On April 8, 2015, at 4:30 PM, Tyler Waidelich, age 29, of Wauseon, Ohio, was arrested on a Fulton County Municipal warrant for failure to appear. Original charge was OVI.
On April 10, 2015, at 4:30 PM, Ronald Brust, age 46, of Bryan, Ohio, was arrested on his Williams County Common Pleas warrant for felony theft. He was taken to CCNO and held.
