Seasonal scams include driveway asphalting, driveway scaling, roofing, and barn/house painting to name a few. Typical things to look for are people from out of area quoting lower than normal prices and high pressure sales tactics. Scammers may try to show you pictures of previously completed jobs and equipment they may or may not even own. Please take the time to check the person out, ask questions, check with references and the Better Business Bureau. If you are provided with a business card, don’t call the number on the card. SHERIFF’S OFFICE
Sheriff Roy E. Miller announces that the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting a High Visibility Traffic Blitz from June 1 to June 15. Deputies will be working various hours and locations around Fulton County and they will be looking for seatbelt, speed, and distracted driving violations during this Blitz. Sheriff Miller and his deputies are dedicated to protecting the citizens of Fulton County and the motorists who travel its highways. These Blitzes are being funded from a grant that was awarded to the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office from the Ohio Department of Public Safety. The grant pays for extra patrol to enforce traffic laws that will increase the safety of motorists on the roadways in areas that are prone to a higher number of serious and fatal crashes.
