Jay L. Hahn plead no contest to Count I Attempted Illegal Manufacture of Drugs, a felony of the third degree. The court also found hum guilty on Counts II and IV of Illegal Assembly or Possession of Chemical for the Manufacture of Drugs, another felony of the third degree. He was sentenced to thirty months at the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (ODRC) for Count I, and concurrent twenty-four month terms at ODRC for Counts II and IV, all of which will be served consecutively. Hahn was also ordered to pay all costs of prosecution and court-appointed council.
Jeffrey A. Massengale II, plead guilty to Count I Possession of Heroin, a felony of the third degree, as well as Count II Aggravated Possession of Drugs and Count III Possession of Cocaine, both felonies of the fifth degree. He was sentenced to three consecutive ten month terms at the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction. Hahn was also ordered to pay all costs of prosecution and court-appointed council.
Jackie D. Beavers plead guilty to Count III Complicity to Commit Attempted Illegal Manufacture of Drugs, a felony of the third degree. She was sentenced to thirty-six months at the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction. Beavers was also ordered to pay all costs of prosecution and court-appointed council.
Patricia A. Beebe plead no contest to Illegal Assembly of Possession of Chemicals for the Manufacture of Drugs. She was sentenced to five years of Community Control, and a six month suspension on her driver’s license. Beebe was also ordered to pay all costs of prosecution and court-appointed council.
Daniel E. Malvitz plead guilty to Attempted Abduction, a felony of the fourth degree. He was sentenced to five years of Community Control, beginning after serving 180 days at the Correction Center of Northwest Ohio. He must also complete 250 hours of community service. On addition, Malvitz must pay all costs of prosecution and court-appointed council.
Noel J. Alvarez plead guilty to Count I and Count II Non-Support of Dependents, each a felony of the fifth degree. Alvarez was sentenced to five years of Community Control, beginning after serving 180 days at the Correction Center of Northwest Ohio. Alvarez was also ordered to pay all costs of prosecution and court-appointed council.
Gary J. Hamrick, of Montpelier, OH, was found in contempt of court for failing to pay spousal support to Jonnie M. Schooley. He was sentenced to thirty days at the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio, with the provision that jail time can be avoided if he pays Schooley the owed amount by November 1, 2014. He must also pay Schooley’s attorney fees, amounting to $750.

On Sunday, October 12, 2014, Jonathan Buchs, age 42, Bryan, OH, was operating a 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan traveling west on SR-34 1/10th mile east of CR-8 in Center Township when he struck a deer that had ran onto the roadway. The vehicle sustained minor damage.
On Monday, October 13, 2014 at approximately 0746 hrs, the Williams County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a hit/skip traffic crash that had just occurred on CR-16 2/10th mile north of US-6 in Pulaski Township. It was reported that a northbound vehicle had traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a mailbox, but continued on leaving the scene. Several minutes later, a Williams County deputy located the suspect vehicle in the City of Bryan. Initial investigative information at time of report suggests Darrell Hancock, age 70, Bryan, OH, was operating his 1989 GMC Sierra PU truck when he struck the mailbox. The vehicle sustained minor damage. The matter remains under investigation.

Sheriff Roy Miller is hosting an open house at the Sheriff’s Office on November 6, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Taxpayers of Fulton County are encouraged to tour the state-of-the-art 911 communication center and newly remodeled offices. Sheriff Miller says that most citizens never see the inside of his office and would like to extend this opportunity for citizens to stop in, take a tour, and meet staff. Aubree A. Hite plead guilty to Count I Permitting of Drug Abuse. She was sentenced to one year of Community Control, beginning after a 180 day sentence at the Correction Center of Northwest Ohio.
An Archbold woman was sentenced on October 10, 2014, in the Fulton County Common Pleas Court According to county prosecutor Scott A. Haselman. Keri Turner, 36, of 701 E Lutz Rd. previously pled guilty to Theft. Between August 21, 2013 and October 9, 2013, she stole from several businesses in the Archbold, Wauseon, and Napoleon areas. Judge James E. Barber sentenced Mr. Turner to 2 years of community control and ordered her to pay prosecution costs and attorney fees, not possess a checking account, make restitution of $1,465.47 to the victims, successfully complete a theft education course, not enter or have contact with the businesses involved, obtain her GED, seek and maintain employment, and report to CCNO on October 20, 2014 to serve 21 days. Failure to comply could result in Ms. Turner spending 11 months in prison.
A Delta man was sentenced on October 15, 2014, in the Fulton County Common Pleas Court according to county prosecutor Scott A. Haselman. Michael Osborne, 42, of 2655 Co. Rd. 8, was convicted of Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. From July 17, 2014 to July 21, 2014, he operated a motor vehicle and kept possession of it without consent of the owner. Judge James E. Barber sentences Mr. Osborne to 3 years of community control and ordered him to pay prosecution costs and attorney fees, successfully complete the SEARCH program in Bowling Green, seek and maintain employment, stay out of bars/taverns, and not possess or consume alcohol. Failure to comply could result in Mr. Osborne spending 11 months in prison.
A Wauseon woman was sentenced on October 16, 2014 in the Fulton County Common Pleas Court according to county prosecutor Scott A. Haselman. Aubree Hite, 24, of East Elm St, previously pled guilty to Permitting Drug Abuse. On April 22, 2014, she allowed her residence to be used for a drug abuse offense. Judge James E. Barber sentenced Ms. Hite to 1 year of community control and ordered her to pay prosecution costs and attorney fees, seek and maintain employment, successfully complete treatment at Recover Services of Northwest Ohio, stay out of bars/taverns, not possess or consume alcohol, have her driver’s license suspended for 6 months with privileges, and serve 7 days in CCNO with credit for 7 days served. Failure to comply could result in Ms. Hite spending 180 days in CCNO.
Tyler Smith, 24, of Jonesville St, Montpelier, OH, pled guilty to Attempted Robbery. On August 5, 2014, after stealing items at the Wauseon Walmart, he attempted to use force, or threatened to use force, against an employee. Judge James E. Barber sentenced Mr. Smith to 2 years of community control and ordered him to pay prosecution costs, make restitution of $135.02 to Walmart, staff off the Walmart premises, may a $250.00 fine, stay out of bars/taverns, not possess or consume alcohol, seek and maintain employment, and serve 14 days in CCNO , with credit for 7 days served. Failure to comply could result in Mr. Smith spending 12 months in prison.
Hussam Sweidan, 20 , of County Road 12, Lyons, OH, previously pled guilty to Breaking and Entering. Between November 9 and 10, 2013, he broke into Bomber’s Diner in Lyons. Judge Barber sentenced him to 2 years of community control and ordered that he pay prosecution costs, make restitution of $250.00, pay a $250.00 fine, abide by a 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM curfew, successfully complete the SEARCH Program in Bowling Green, have no contact with Bomber’s Diner or its owners, and serve 7 days in CCNO with credit for 7 days served. Failure to comply could result in Mr. Sweidan spending 11 months in prison.
Alfonso Miller, 56, of Kettering Drive, Defiance, OH, previously pled guilty to Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. On March 15 2014, he operated a motor vehicle without consent of the owner and abandoned it on the Ohio Turnpike. Judge Barber sentenced Mr. Miller to CCNO for 30 days, with credit for 19 days already served.
