Stryker Blasts Fayette Lady Eagles In BBC Action On The Road


FAYETTE: April 24– The Stryker Lady Panthers traveled to Fayette on April 24 for a BBC showdown, shutting down the game in the 5th inning, recording a 21-2 victory over the Lady Eagles.

Conner Varner recorded the win, going 5 innings in the game. Varner allowed just 6 hits on the day while giving up just 2 earned runs.

For the Lady Panthers, it was a banner day at the plate in the 1st inning, producing 17 runs in the opening at bat. On the game, Varner went off for 5 hits in the victory while Conner Sullivan recorded 3 hits. Miranda Pegorch, Taylor Haines, Sierra Walters and Tasha Pegorch each logged 2 hits while Emily Cadwell and Megan Neville also connected for a hit in the win.

For the Lady Eagles, Leah Bussing took the loss, going the distance in the game. Offensively for Fayette, Taylor West recorded a double while Kaitlin Brubaker connected for 2 singles. Presley Pennington, Taylor Hartman and Bussing rounded out the offense for Fayette with singles in the loss.
