STRYKER: April 17– The Stryker Panthers stopped Pettisville on April 17 buy the score of 7-3 to move to 3-1 in the BBC, tied with the Edon Bombers for 1st in the standings. Brody Shock went the distance for Stryker in gaining the win, allowing 3 runs of off 3 hits, fanning 3 batters in the game.
Offensively in the box for the Panthers, Shock led the way in hits, connecting for 3 on the game, including a double; Chad Ruffer also had a big day, going 2 for 4, driving in 3 RBI’s. Dean Beamont and Parker Ruffer each connected for singles driving in runs on the game, while Zach Birkey and Jacob Hancock rounded out the offense for Stryker.
In the loss for Pettisville, Tate Kauffman went the entire distance in the game, giving up 7 runs on 7 hits. Kauffman also racked up 7 strikeouts in the game while giving up 4 base on balls.
Batting for the Blackbirds, Kauffman connected for a double in the game while Evan King and Gabe Beck each hit for singles in the loss.
The victory moves Stryker to 3-1 in the BBC and 3-4 on the season. Pettisville dropped to 1-3 in the BBC, and 1-7 on the season.
