Terry Bartels (1956 – 2018)

Terry R. Bartels, of Liberty Center, after a one year battle with cancer passed away peacefully Thursday morning May 10, 2018 at the Fulton County Health Center under Hospice Care.  He was born in Napoleon on August 12, 1956 to the late Robert L. Bartels and Betty (Robinson) Bartels, who survives.

Terry was a 1974 graduate of Liberty Center High School and later attended Davis Business College where he received his Associates Degree and did some teaching.  On May 10, 2002 Terry married Lisa Bostelman and she survives.  He worked as an electrician and CNC operator for Clapp & Haney Company for over 10 years and later managed Colonial Manor Mobile Home Park in Liberty Center.  He was a member of the Ohio Bottle Club and known to have the largest collection of glass canes in the nation.  Terry had a love for pets and along with his wife helped support the Heritage Farms Animal Rescue.

Along with his wife of 16 years, Lisa Bartels and mother, Betty Bartels, he is survived by his daughter, Allyson Bartels of Adrian, MI; son, Shawn Bryan of Rossford; sister, Debbie (Dan) Hefflinger of Liberty Center; brother, Gary (Patricia) Bartels of Nashville, IN; nieces, nephews and friends.  A memorial celebration for Terry will be announced at a later date.
