Three Wauseon Heidelberg University Student-Athletes Honored For Classroom Success

VR LOGO - WEBTIFFIN, OH — A total of 148 Heidelberg University student-athletes were honored Feb. 18 not for their play on the field but for their achievements in the classroom. The following local/area students received Landess Scholar-Athlete Awards for the fall semester:

Dominic Frey (men’s cross country), Wauseon, Ohio, a sophomore majoring in Business Administration and Integrated Media
Justin Mourguet (men’s cross country), Wauseon, Ohio, a freshman majoring in Business Administration and Economics
Marin Schaffner (women’s soccer), Wauseon, Ohio, a freshman majoring in Psychology and Athletic Training

The Landess Awards were created by William Landess, a 1995 Heidelberg alumnus and member of the university’s Board of Trustees, to honor student-athletes who achieve a minimum 3.0 GPA during their semester of competition.
