VARSITY GIRLS BASKETBALL
Archbold 64, Liberty Center 35 – After taking a 38-20 lead into the locker room, the Streaks outscored the Tigers 14-0 in the third to run away with their sixth NWOAL victory. Archbold (17-2) were led by Kierstyn Repp’s 22 points while Cassi Wyse and Alyssa Ziegler added eight points apiece. Meghan Skeens led Liberty Center (2-15) with 11 points.
Delta 57, Patrick Henry 41 – Morgan Mattimore finished as the NWOAL scoring champion with 156 points in eight games as the Panthers (13-5) finished in sole possession of second place at (7-1) with the win over the Patriots. Delta’s Jessi Davis added 14 for Delta.
Montpelier 44, Swanton 37 – Hannah Blake closed out her NWOAL game career with a game high 24 points as the locomotives improved their record to (12-8, 4-4). The game was closely contested throughtout as Monpelier never led more than four points at the end of the first three quarters. It was Blake’s 10-point fourth quarter that was the difference. Mckenna Quaderer sank three 3-point shots in the first quarter for Montpelier and finished with nine points. The Bulldogs (5-11, 1-7) were led by Sidney Taylor’s 13 points.
Evergreen 51, Wauseon 37 – (No game stats received)
Fayette 56, Hilltop 32 – The Eagles (19-1, 9-0) soared to a BBC title with their win over Hilltop (7-12, 3-6). A 16-0 shutout in the second quarter propelled Fayette to their undefeated BBC season. Alexis Fruchey took her turn with the hot hand as she connected for 20 points. Taylor Griffiths added 12 while Kaela Seiler finished with 10. The Cadets were led by Allie Schmitt’s nine points which included two 3-point makes.
North Central 35, Edon 32 – The Eagles (2-18, 1-8) used 13 points from C VanDeVoorde while Alyssa Swank and Madyson Bonney added eight point apiece to end the BBC season on a positive note. Kaitlyn Sonneberger and H.Kaylor led Edon (2-18, 1-8) with 12 and 10 points respectively.
Stryker 44, Pettisville 35 – The Panthers (16-4, 7-2) used 26 second-half points on way to their win. Three Stryker players finished in double figures including: Kaitlyn Wonders with 17 points, Haley Doehrmann with 12 points and Taylor Haines with 10. The Blackbirds (12-8, 6-3) were led by Morgan Leppelmeier with 13 and Anya Kauffman with 12.

JUNIOR HIGH BOYS BASKETBALL
Wauseon 42, Bryan 18 (7th grade) – The Indians advanced to Saturday’s final with the lopsided win. The Indians played a great game at both ends of the court jumping out to a 19-5 lead after the 1st quarter and a 35-9 lead after the 3rd quarter. The 7th grade boys were led in scoring by Connar Penrod with 22 points and Tyson Britsch with 7 points. Others scoring for the Indians were Lance Rupp, Isaac Wilson, Ayden Cheney, Easton Delgado and Hunter Nofziger. The 7th grade boys will face the Archbold Blus Streaks for the league title.
