He and other Bluffton students are participating in local churches and learning how Bolivian Christians are trying to live out their faith through service to others. They are also visiting community development projects of Mennonite Central Committee as well as interacting with children at a school, an orphanage and a day care center. In addition, students will explore the capital city of La Paz in the Andes Mountains and travel to Lake Titicaca.
Lind, the son of Tom and Kim Lind, is a senior double majoring in exercise science and strength and conditioning. He is a 2012 graduate of Wauseon High School.
This experience will fulfill Bluffton’s undergraduate cross-cultural requirement that must be completed before graduation. Students can either complete a cross-cultural experience or take six credit hours in one foreign language.
