Wauseon Indians Drop Close Double Header To Ottawa Glandorf On The Road


Ottawa, April 19, 2014– Wauseon packed for a road trip on April 19, traveling to Ottawa for a Saturday double header with Glandorf, dropping the first game by a narrow 1-0 margin and falling in game two 6-5.

Game #1

For the Indians on the mound, Clay Tefft went the entire 6 innings, 4 hits and just 1 run in the game while logging 4 K’s in the lose.

Offensively it was a tough outing for the Indians who managed just 3 hits in the game against Glandorf, with Jacob Newlove connecting for 2 hits in the game while Brady Rupp recorded the Indians only other hit in the loss.

Game #2

Nate Suntken took to the mound for game 2, throwing 6 innings and giving up 6 hits and 3 earned runs while setting down 6 Glandorf batters in the game.

Suntken also had a big day at the plate for Wauseon, recording 2 hits in the game and crossing the plate 3 times in the loss. Jacob Newlove also went 2 for 4 on the game with 1 RBI, while Axel Bueter drove in a run. Nate Suntken was also credited with an RBI in the Indians setback.
