Williams County Police Uncover Meth Lab Near Montpelier

VR LOGO - WEBOn Wednesday November 5, 2014, a Williams County Sheriff’s Office deputy, who is assigned to the Multi Area Drug Task Force, was attempting to locate some wanted persons reference warrants. While searching for the wanted persons information was obtained about a house on CR N-30 west of CR 10 near Montpelier. The deputy went to the house and recognized an odor that is associated with the manufacture of methamphetamine.

At that time a search warrant was obtained. The search and investigation revealed an active large meth production operation and the location of eleven individuals in the house. Four of those individuals were arrested and transported to CCNO on active warrants. All of the individuals found in the house are facing charges as the investigation continues.

Representatives from the M.A.N. Unit, Williams County Sheriff’s Office, Montpelier Fire Department, Montpelier Police Department, County Prosecutor’s Office as well as EMS Director Jim Hicks all assisted at the scene.
